![]() ![]() It’s exceedingly low angst and lots of fun, with some smokin’ kisses but nothing any further – essentially a Hallmark movie in book form. I haven’t read anything from this series (yet), but I had no trouble jumping right in and enjoying the vibe. It’s novella-length, just over 100 pages, and told exclusively from Jillian’s point of view. But as things start to go awry, Jillian soon sees another side to Case… and she likes what she sees. They haven’t exactly been friendly at work, but Case seems to be a little grumpy and buttoned-up with everyone. When her broody, scowly co-worker, Case, joins the trip at the last minute, Jillian isn’t sure what to think. The story follows Jillian, a woman who is scouting out locations for Hallmark-style movies on behalf of her employer. ![]() It doesn’t delve too deep and is sure to leave you smiling, so I’d call this one a win all around. It’s just Christmasy enough to feel like a holiday romance, but the focus is absolutely on the couple. There’s a great grumpy/sunshine dynamic, and a hero whose thoughts are fun to puzzle out. It packs a punch in a small package, diving right into a road trip between co-workers. Quick and SUPER cute, this has everything you could ask for in a holiday novella. ![]()
